Emma can read!

My neighbor let us borrow some phonics books so I could start working on reading with Emma. She hasn't really started this in preschool, but I figured she is probably ready so I should work with her. We sat down and I was all prepared to help her sound out the words and hopefully get a few of them right...apparently she already knows how to read! I'm not sure where she learned it (my guess is preschool, but she claims she hasn't been taught that yet) but she knew how to sound out the words and read all of the first five books in the series before we made her stop and go to bed. I know I am totally pulling a proud mommy moment, but I was shocked and so excited.
