June and July tend to be a blur of presents, parties, and celebrations. After a great Father's Day and celebrating my birthday at the end of June, we jump right into 4th of July parties and then the kids' birthdays. I love celebrating the kids' birthdays and start planning it all out months in advance. We always start by decorating the kitchen and the child's bedroom door after they go to bed the night before. We then all celebrate in the morning with their favorite breakfast. Emma chose strawberry crepes and got bubble gum (one of her favorite things) with breakfast.
We then spent some time before Andy left for work opening presents...
My sisters in law met us at Kangaroo Zoo in the afternoon for a couple hours of playtime.
After the kids were extremely tired from playing, we came home and went out to dinner as a family- Emma and Drew both love Chinese food so we got enough Chinese food to feed a small country and finished off with a small Cinderella birthday cake. We are waiting for her party this weekend to bring out the big cake-but these cute ones from Wal-Mart were just the right size for her.
