I went and did one of my favorite things today...clearance shopping for school supplies. I love school supplies and I even love them more when I only spend $0.10 on them! Something about a new box of crayons or markers and new notebooks just makes me happy. We seriously go through about 50 boxes of crayons and markers a year, so getting them cheap is a must. Emma is my little artist. She will literally sit at the kitchen table for hours drawing pictures and coloring. For Christmas last year we made her and Drew an art studio in the crawl space (small unfinished basement). She always begs to go down and do all of her art projects. Emma also adds to my love of getting cheap art supplies because she absolutely loves a new box of crayons- she can't wait to bust them open and color! I love September and I love Target for 75% off school supplies!
My second blog for today is about ice packs. I'm not sure if it is a well known fact among mothers, but I just figured out that a Disney themed ice pack can cure just about anything. My kids get hurt a lot (probably because they can't walk across the room without walking into a wall) and the ice pack has solved all of their problems. Anything from a black eye to a sore throat and they ask for their ice pack- it is better than a band aid and a miracle worker in our house. Drew actually sleeps with his Finding Nemo ice pack! So for all you moms out there who are late on the discovery like me- get ice packs for your kids. (Oh- I actually don't put mine in the freezer because they get too cold- we keep them in the fridge.)

I'm 25 years old and I love my Nemo ice pack . . . is there something wrong with that :) Oh, and I LOVE school supply shopping too!
Funny you should mention ice packs... my kids think they have to sleep with one every night. It is a near death experience if I forget to put it in the fridge to get cold before bed time... ha ha- glad to know we're not the only ones with that fettish.
Hey, glad you commented! I am going through the list of things that need to be done and contacting you was one of them, love to have you at the zoo or anywhere else for that matter. I'll e-mail you my cell # and we'll get together.

Layne is only 11 months old and already obsessed with her "Boo-Boo Buddy" ice pack! Too funny!
Ice packs? Never have owned one.
We use a bag of frozen peas.
I'm totally kidding. About the peas, not the ice packs.
Sorry, weird mood tonight.
Oh yeah we are fans of those ice packs at our house too! Love those
